Sustainability
• Jute is a natural fibre that doesn’t rely on insecticides or pesticides, making it completely biodegradable. The plant reaches maturity quickly – between four and six months – so it is an incredibly efficient source of renewable materials. Relying on natural rainfall (rather than extensive and energy-consumptive irrigation systems), it also absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen much faster than trees, and enhances the fertility of the soil it grows in for future crops.

I chose this rug for the quality and design found in its traditional weave which brings out a natural light diffusing texture in silvery grey and straw and has always been a favourite on my wishlist. Not only does it look and feel different than any other jute rug I own but I knew with care it would wear quite well as I already have the door rug in the same artisan design.

I have been looking at this rug for a while and was super excited about receiving it, however the colour of the rug is a darker shade than expected and it not match with my oak wooden floor, I have requested a return. The quality and pattern are beautiful and the medium was super generous. It would be useful if a sample could be ordered to check colour/ shade before purchasing
