Our stylish Panama hat is made especially for us by The Panama Hat Company. It’s hand-woven in Ecuador from traditional paja toquilla palm leaves – also known as the ‘Panama hat palm’ – and finished with a black, rib-textured ribbon. It’s an absolute classic that can be beautifully styled with our flowy linen dresses and beach cover-ups.
The Panama Hat Company is a British, family-run business that’s been making iconic headwear since 1988 and is a proud member of the British Hat Guild. Using genuine paja toquilla straw that’s hand-woven in Ecuador, the hats are then crafted in Bedfordshire using traditional hat-making machinery.

Sustainability
Real raffia is made from palm leaves and is strong, durable and pliable, allowing our artisans to be creative with techniques and produce accessories that are versatile, rollable and packable. Harvesting it is considered a sustainable practice as it does not harm the raffia palm plant and allows it to continue to grow and produce.

Really lovely hat. My only complaint is that there is no drawstring in the sweatband so it can’t be adjusted for size. Luckily I have solved the issue myself!
